Surprise Toy: Find It - On a Hunt

We haven't had this much fun in a while! Today's surprise toy is one of the popular Find It Games
Our version is the Find It On A Hunt, which is about hunting, outdoors, game.

Find It is a great game for those who love scavengers hunts. There are lots of figures inside a tube that is filled with TONS of beads. The tube is sealed on both sides and the only way to find the figures is to move the tube making the beads move all over it to try to discover where the objects are.

Now, we love that Find It Games has various themes for the game. We mentioned that ours is the Find It On a Hunt edition, but there are others like At The Beach (our other favorite), Pirates, Elf on the Shelf, Bible, and much more that you can see HERE. The variety is impressive and we love it because people can buy the edition they most relate to, or that they just like.

For example, our edition (On a Hunt) is one we can relate to because my husband loves hunting and we want Kiddo to learn about it. For my surprise he already knew the majority of the objects related to this particular game and that is another thing we love. Objects are things that most of us already know and this makes it easier for little ones to be part of the fun.

If you purchase a Find It game, you will receive the tube, a little pamphlet with instructions and ways to play, and a set of double sided cards to play. The tube contains 48 hidden objects and, I must say, some are really hard to find! In more than 2 weeks, I haven't been able to find the pen, the feather or the bullet casing (between others). The entire list of objects is located at the top of the tube for you to know what's inside.

The cards are double sided and labeled SIDE ONE and SIDE TWO. You use the cards to find the object that fits their description, and so on. They say things like: "Find and item bigger than…", or "Find an item that is expensive…", etc… you can play it by time or without any time limit to search.

IT IS FUN!

You can play by yourself or you can have more friends play with you, and the pamphlet that comes with the game has also the list of the objects PLUS their score value which at the end of the game will determine who is the winner.

I have to confess… We have our Find It game on our mantle and I catch myself, EVERY SINGLE DAY, trying to find the objects we haven't been able to find haha! So it really is a game that the entire family will enjoy, no matter the age. Kiddo is 3, and when we first got the game he didn't understand that you couldn't open the tube to get the objects out. He assumed he could because, of course, that is the easiest way to find all the objects haha! After I explained and explained, he got the hang of it and now enjoys to find new items every time he plays.

Needless to say this game is great! No matter the age this is something that the entire family will enjoy playing. During the Holidays, it is a great game to have in hand for get-togethers and parties. It is like a scavenger hunt, but also helps the kids to practice/learn about adjectives/descriptions like colors, sizes, value, etc… Right now Find It On A Hunt is one of our favorite games this year, we love it so much that it is going to go with us on vacation to keep us and Kiddo entertained the plane :) It has helped us to teach Kiddo how to pronounce words better (he finds and item and cannot move on to find another one UNTIL he pronounces the name of the first object correctly, or at least tries really hard to). Something I love and that has been really helpful for the little one, is the shape of the top and bottom of the tube. Having the octagon shaped ends it is easier for him to lay the tube on the side and look for items without the fear of the tube rolling and moving, so this basically gives you 8 different laying down angles to move the tube and observe to see if you find the hidden items you are looking for. Genius Find It Games, genius!

As you can see, the little one loves it. He truly gets concentrated and focused on finding his hidden objects.

Go to Find It Game's website and check all of their editions, you will find one that speaks to you for sure! This is one of the best gifts you could give to anyone this holiday season!

*I received the product for testing purposes in exchange of my honest review. Although the product was free opinions are 100% my own.
