Baby Gifts: Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Feeding Bottles and Pacifiers

*I received the product for testing purposes in exchange of my honest review. Although the product was free opinions are 100% my own.

I am so excited about today's post. When kiddo was born, I was a first time mom, I was naive, I didn't know what products were the best out there for my baby. As he grew I decided to research, read, ask, investigate, test lots of products and I can now say I am pretty much an expert in the area of baby/kids products.

So, one of the things that I am obsessed with are baby bottles. I LOVE baby bottles (not for me, duh), and of course, Kiddo did NOT like bottles as a baby. He would only take the darn boob. Thank goodness I was a SAHM because if not I would have had to come up with a prototype of a portable mommy boob for him to eat while in child care lol

Ok, anyway, enough story telling…. My obsession with bottles is now known as obsession with Tommee Tippee. Since the first day I learned about Tommee Tippee I am a huge fan and I am so glad I can now share my excitement with all of you!

Why I love Tommee Tippee Feeding Bottles so much?

1. Breast-like nipple shape - easier transition for breastfed babies to bottle feeding.
2. Vent valve on the nipple - helps prevent baby from getting air in their tummy.
3. Easy to hold shape and size - unique shape that let you recognize a Tommee Tippee bottle from a distance. Also, they come in two (2) sizes: 5oz and 9oz
4. Dishwasher safe - they are also really easy to clean by hand.
5. No excessive extra pieces - only bottle, nipple and nipple ring, that is it.
6. Freezer safe - you can store breastmilk in them in the main section of your freezer.
7. Measurement markings - accurate and clear, easy to read.
8. BPA free plastic bottle.

Another awesome thing I love from Tommee Tippee is the new glass bottles! The new glass bottles have the exact same features I love about the plastic Feeding Bottles, but they are environmentally friendly and naturally free of BPA, phthalate and toxin free. Great choice for eco-friendly families.

Tommee Tippee Glass Bottle

I absolutely love these, although I would not recommend them for freezer storage (remember that liquids expand when becoming solids in the freezer and this can break the glass), these are great bottles to pour hot liquids in without any fear of damaging them. They only come in sets of two (2) bottles and in 9oz size, unlike the plastic Feeding Bottles that come in sets of one (1), three (3), four (4) or six (6), and in sizes 5oz and 9oz.

Below, is a comparison of the 9oz bottles (plastic and glass). You may notice that the glass bottle is taller. This is because in order to keep the shape and size the same they must make the bottle taller to compensate from the thickness of the glass. Plastic is so much more thin than the glass. But they are both 9oz bottles.

And what about the pacifiers?

Pacifiers come in four (4) different styles: every day, night time, air style and fun style. They all have the orthodontic straight nipple shape (baby approved) and they are BPA free. They all come in stages suitable from ages from 0 to 18 months old, they all have the same shape, except for the Air Style and they come in a variety of colors. So, what makes them all really different, you may ask? Well here is the secret:

(you can click on the name to see more info)
Every Day: traditional shield style, water drop shape front and transparent ring.
Night Time: traditional shield style, water drop shape, and easy to find glow in the dark ring.
Air Style: traditional shield style, round center shape, air holes in shield to prevent skin irritation.
Fun Styletraditional shield style, water drop shape front, fun and colorful designs.

These are just two of the many things that Tommee Tippee offers. All of their products can be found on their website Tommee Tippee North America, and let me tell you. They make excellent gifts. It doesn't matter what product your purchase, they are high quality and you will not regret buying it.

Needless to say Tommee Tippee is kiddo approved. You will definitely see a LOT of Tommee Tippee at Kiddo Approved. And as you may already know, the Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Feeding Bottles, Glass Bottles and Every Day Pacifiers are part of our Baby Gift Box for Kiddo 2.0!

PS: stay around, the Baby Gift Box update is coming live soon and later on see these bottles in action when Kiddo 2.0 finally arrives!

  1. I am not a mom, but I never would have thought about how important nipple shape would have been. It makes sense that a bottle having more of natural nipple shape would make it easier for a baby to transition from the breast to the bottle. I like how you remind people that when you freeze something it expands. People tend to forget this a lot.

    1. Girl! I didn't even know after giving birth until my newborn decided to become an expert in that area lol HE would know the difference between the bread and bottle without opening his eyes and reject EVERY SINGLE BOTTLE! Dang it! haha

  2. My daughter was preemie and had feeding issues. She was tube fed for the first 2 months so she never learned to latch and I had to pump into bottles. For a while, tommy tippee was the only bottle nipple I could even get her to take. I don't think they had the glass ones at the time though. But they literally saved her from having to go back on the feeding tube.

    1. Yes, I have learned that you can never have too many gift ideas (pinned lol). Because some day you will need to buy at least one gift for every occasion (as we grow old that is lol)
