Getting Ready for Kiddo 2.0 with TravPACS

*I received the product for testing purposes in exchange of my honest review. Although the product was free opinions are 100% my own.

Like I mentioned before, there is a new member joining the Kiddo Approved family. My baby nephew (Kiddo 1.0's cousin), who we will call Kiddo 2.0.

This weekend we decided to get the one box containing Kiddo 1.0's baby clothes and sort some of them to pass down to Kiddo 2.0. Bittersweet, since I am still emotionally attached to some of them, but good to know that the person using them is so dear to my heart. I still saved some outfits that were my faves from Kiddo 1.0's newborn days to keep.

Since Kiddo 2.0 will be born in Puerto Rico and we already have a trip planned for around his birth date, we will pack his gifts (including the Baby Gift Box) in our suitcases to take it all with us in the plane. (Thank you Southwest Airlines for the low fares and free checked bags!).

I am super picky when it comes to baby/kids outfits. I love to have them organized and separated from mom and dad's things. So what a better way to keep my suitcase organized than my new set of TravPACS?

TravPACS are nylon packing cubes that help keep your clothes in place and organized while traveling. They have a big mesh window that is great for keeping clothes fresh and also helps to see what items are in each cube. Zippers make an easy access to the content of the cubes and sturdy handles are really useful for carrying.

Have you ever gotten to your destination and get surprised by the disaster in your bags? I know the feeling. It is easier for smaller pieces of clothing, like baby onesies perhaps, to move all over the bags during the trip. That is why I think these TravPACS are going to make my trip easier and I'll feel less stressed about my clothes being all wrinkled.

The set comes with four (4) packing cubes: two (2) big 15.5" x 11.5" x 3.5" cubes and two (2) smaller 13.5" x 8.5" x 3.5" cubes (measurements are approximates). I was able to fit 28 onesies and shirts, plus 4 pants for Kiddo 2.0 in one small cube, and the zipper ran smoothly, no problem at all! Don't let the photos fool you, they have great capacity. As long as you roll or fold your clothes neatly, you will be able to fit a LOT in just one cube.

All four (4) TravPACS packing cubes (full) fit in a carry-on, which is something really convenient for light travelers. I think we will be using them in the checked bags instead of the carry-on though, because we are going to use the TravPACS to keep Kiddo 2.0's outfits neat and organized while we get to Puerto Rico and we normally use the carry-on to pack things for the actual travelers. You know, in case the checked bags don't make it to our destination, our carry-on always has extra outfits and snacks to survive (at least one day) while our bags arrive.

I will update you guys in November when we travel about how well these worked. We plan to use them for Kiddo 2.0's clothes on our way to Puerto Rico, and then for OUR clothes when we come back. So far they feel really sturdy, easy to use, zippers are smooth and we like them a lot! The color blue is also really pretty, like a sky blue. I think these packing cubes will be used more frequent than what we have thought.

Oh and did I mention about the bonus baggie? Yes! As a bonus the TravPACS set also includes a laundry bag! (I love extras *wink*) By the way, I have heard about people using them not only as organizers fro traveling, but for drawers and as craft organizers too! There is always something you can use them for!

I have bags that are very similar, but not from the same company. They're absolutely awesome and work so well to keep you organized. They'd definitely work well to pack baby clothes for you to take on your trip. Hope you hav a safe trip in November!

    1. Awww!! We are definitely liking these a lot. I packed my husband's bags last week for a 4 day trip out of town and he loved them! Way more organized for me too when he gets back home (no more clean/dirty mixed together haha)

Thank you for your well wishes :)
